Zenergize Raises $4M to Scale Indian Power Tech

Zenergize Technologies has raised $4 million in Pre-Series A funding. Now the Indian deep-tech startup is moving from product development into serious manufacturing and commercial scale.

Zenergize Technologies funding has given the company fresh capital at a crucial point. The Indian deep-tech startup, which develops indigenous silicon carbide, or SiC-based, power electronics, has raised $4 million in a Pre-Series A round combining equity and venture debt.

Giraffe Studios led the round, with participation from a group of industrial entrepreneurs and experienced business leaders.

This isn’t just another startup cheque. Zenergize says the money will be used to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen engineering, widen its sales and service network across India, accelerate research and development, and build the operational muscle needed to serve large enterprise and OEM customers.

Why the Zenergize Technologies Funding Matters

The timing is important.

Zenergize says the fundraise follows a year of rapid product iteration, commercialization and market development. That means the company is now shifting gears. The focus is moving beyond building products to building the infrastructure required to deliver them at scale.

For a deep-tech company, that transition is rarely trivial.

Manufacturing needs capacity. Engineering needs people and systems. Enterprise customers need dependable service. Sales teams need reach. And products need continued R&D if they are expected to compete beyond the initial market.

The $4 million round is aimed squarely at those requirements.

Zenergize plans to increase manufacturing capacity while expanding its sales and service footprint across India. It also wants to deepen its ability to design and manufacture globally competitive power electronics products domestically.

That is a sizeable ambition, but the strategy is straightforward: build in India, commercialize in India, then compete globally.

Giraffe Studios Leads the $4 Million Round

Giraffe Studios increased its existing investment in Zenergize and led the latest funding round.

The investor also brought together a notable group of participants from industrial, financial and technology businesses.

The participating investors include Nikhil Sawhney of Triveni Turbine Limited, Varun Agarwal of Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases, Shyam Bagri of Bagrry’s Holdings, Raoul Bajaj of Trafigura, angel investor Sunil Kalra, Ajith Pai, former COO of Delhivery, Sandeep Barasia, former CBO of Delhivery, Nitin Jain, Managing Director of Neo Group, and Hemant Daga, CEO of Neo Bank.

That’s a broad mix of experience.

For Zenergize, the value of the round therefore isn’t limited to capital. The investor group brings experience across industrial businesses, logistics, finance, technology and enterprise operations.

A Stronger Push Into Indian Manufacturing

Zenergize’s stated goal is to build power electronics products that are designed and manufactured in India while remaining globally competitive.

The funding will help the company expand its manufacturing capacity and strengthen the engineering organisation supporting that effort.

This is where the story gets particularly interesting from an Indian perspective.

Deep-tech companies can spend years developing technology before they reach meaningful commercial scale. Getting the product right is one challenge. Building the manufacturing and service backbone to support customers is another.

Zenergize is now putting capital behind the second part of that equation.

From Product Iteration to Commercial Scale

The company says the past year was focused on rapid product iteration followed by commercialization.

That progression matters because commercial deployment changes the demands placed on a technology company.

A product moving from development into the market has to deal with customers, service requirements, production volumes and operational processes. The funding is designed to strengthen those areas while keeping R&D moving.

Zenergize says it will accelerate its product pipeline as part of this next phase.

The company is also preparing hybrid inverters, battery energy storage system, or BESS, platforms and other next-generation power electronics products.

What Zenergize Plans to Build Next

Dr. Veer Karan Goyal, Co-founder and CTO of Zenergize Technologies, said the company intends to accelerate its product pipeline.

Hybrid inverters and BESS platforms are among the products coming next, alongside other next-generation power electronics platforms.

Meanwhile, Co-founder and CEO Navneet Daga said the company’s next phase will focus on manufacturing scale, engineering capability and customer partnerships.

That gives the expansion a clear three-part direction.

First, increase production capability.

Second, build deeper engineering strength.

Third, establish customer relationships capable of supporting larger commercial deployments.

Simple on paper. Not necessarily simple to execute.

Zenergize’s Bigger India Ambition

According to Himanshu Aggarwal, Co-founder of Giraffe Studios, the latest round is intended to establish Zenergize as India’s first high-voltage power electronics company and as a formidable player in the Indian market.

The company’s own positioning is equally ambitious. Zenergize says its experience over the past year has shown that world-class power electronics can be designed, manufactured and commercially viable in India.

Now comes the harder part: scale.

The funding gives Zenergize additional room to expand its manufacturing operations, engineering capabilities, nationwide service network and sales footprint. It also gives the company capital to continue R&D while preparing to serve large enterprise and OEM customers.

For an Indian deep-tech startup, that combination is significant.

Technology alone doesn’t build an industrial business. Products need factories, engineers, customers, service teams and operational discipline. Zenergize is using this funding round to build those pieces together.

And that’s the real story behind the $4 million.

Zenergize should treat this $4 million round as execution capital, not victory capital.

The company has already moved through product iteration and commercialization. The next challenge is much less glamorous: manufacture reliably, strengthen engineering, build service coverage, expand sales and deliver for enterprise and OEM customers.

That is where deep-tech businesses either become real industrial companies or get stuck between prototype and scale.

The stated priorities are sensible. Manufacturing, engineering and customer partnerships need to grow together. Expanding one while neglecting the others creates bottlenecks.

The product pipeline also matters. Hybrid inverters, BESS and other power electronics platforms give Zenergize a clear direction for continued development.

The message from this funding round is therefore simple: the technology phase has to translate into execution at scale. Now the company needs to prove it can do exactly that.
