India-Canada relations are entering a more economically ambitious phase. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has highlighted expanding trade, CEPA negotiations, institutional investment, UPI, GIFT City and deeper financial cooperation as key areas of opportunity. The target is clear: more than double two-way trade to Canadian $70 billion by 2030.
